I bought this blender on April 24 and had to return it on May 10 (the same year, 2008). I bought it at a wholesale store, so I could return it with no problems. Here's the story in a nuthshell:
Pros: sturdy, stays on the counter while in use; not as loud as other blenders; various functions (it's a 3 in 1).
Cons: the seal at the bottom of the jar got torn after just 3 uses (all 3 were smoothies); too much assembly (compared to KitchenAid brand for example); the dispenser doesn't work well if the content in the jar is too thick.
I would NOT buy this or any other Cuisinart blender. I looked at different Cuisinart models and all have the rubber seal.
Luckily, when I purchased this blender was on sale for $45 (from $79). I wouldn't pay so much money for a blender like this.
