Motor broken after two weeks October 26, 2007 Flint Ravencrest (Scottsdale AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My roommate moved out, along with her blender. I chose this as a replacement since it was on sale and touted the "wave action" design. The first problem was that this blender doesn't do the best job of blending. The blades will just move whatever it is out of the way your blending and spin freely unless it's babied with only a little bit of material at a time to start things off. The wave action does seem to work and helps for adding extra ingredients to smoothies. it is incredibly loud and hops about the countertop unless held down. The base heats up very quickly and I have no doubt this is what caused the motor to fail. This blender is a POS in nearly every way excpet that it is easy to take apart and clean. but what does it matter when it breaks after being used a few times.
very disappointing June 10, 2007 the facts machine 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the 10-speed Wave-Action blender specifically for making fruit smoothies. I've tried it three times, and it's no longer welcome in my house. Even after cutting up frozen strawberries by hand, I still have to stop the blender multiple times in an attempt to shake or shove the berries into the vacinity of the blades. And that doesn't even work, as evidenced by the very, very chunky fruit smoothie I just ate (many of the berries were the same size they went in, after several rounds of "blending"). I wouldn't recommend this blender unless you enjoy periodically raising your blood pressure to dangerous levels.
Excellent value August 16, 2006 Elizabeth G. Melillo 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Since my new blender arrived, I have been on a spree of smoothies and sauces. The unit is versatile and very easy to clean, and I especially like that the 'wave action' eliminates the need to use a spoon or scoop to remove finished contents. Overall, it is a superb value for the price.
