Also includes a whipper attachment for emulsifying and whipping, and the ice chopper for flavored ices and cocktails. For safety this blender features a double security system: it only works with the cup hooked on and the lid closed. Convenient suction cup feet keep the Gastronomo securely in place while in use. Shabby quality, finicky blender August 30, 2006 carolina cook (North Carolina, US) Avoid this blender. You can do better with a low-priced model from your local discount store. Sometimes it won't turn on, sometimes you turn the switch to 'off,' and it won't turn off. Parts of the bowl's handle/spring apparatus also tend to come loose, and you can't use it until everything's properly aligned again. I can't imagine that it actually ever sells for the advertised retail price!
It pays to read the reviews........... April 28, 2006 Wendell A. Patterson Wish there had been some product reviews available when I bought this blender. It lasted about 3 or 4 uses and then quit. It was my first Girmi product and will probably be my last.
Get what you pay for. March 23, 2006 J. W. Langley (Misery) 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
If you read the manual and use the right attatchments provided this will do the job as stated. When I use the Blender, I get an electric motor smell like it is burning up. Not the worst thing I ever bought.
i am disappoitment with the product and the service. February 24, 2006 Xiaojin Xu 4 out of 4 found this review helpful

Decent blender, cool features February 24, 2006 Steven M. Mcmahon (New York City) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Shipping was quick on this blender, it's reasonably powerful, chopped ice w/ no problem... Blender comes with 2 attachments, which just like the container and lid, are plastic. That is the main drawback. It chopped ice just fine and otherwise works great.
